Dental assistance when your dentist is closed

If you require dental assistance outside your own dentist's opening hours you can contact the Dental Hotline by telephone (+45) 99 44 08 09. 

The Dental Hotline is open from 9.00 a.m. to noon on weekends and holidays.

You may be referred to three acute dental clinics:

Tandlægevagt (Dental Clinic), Heden 7, 3. sal, 5000 Odense C

Tandlægevagt (Dental Clinic), Kolding Sygehus, Sygehusvej 22, 6000 Kolding

Tandlægevagt (Dental Clinic), Sct. Joseph, Nørregade 63a, 6700 Esbjerg

In addition to the cost concerning the treatment, there is a service charge for the use of the Dental Assistance. That cost is an additional 50 % of the cost of the treatment on Saturdays, and on Sundays and holidays the cost is 100 %.

Acute dental injuries requiring emergency help

If you have been in an accident and have suffered acute dental injuries then call the Medical Helpline (45) 70 11 07 07.  

The Medical Helpline offers advice and guides to treatment.

For acute dental injuries, you may be referred to the necessary emergency treatment at our emergency departments, which are located: 

• Odense: Odense Universitetshospital, Kløvervænget 25, 5000 Odense C
• Esbjerg: Esbjerg og Grindsted Sygehus, Esbjerg, Finsensgade 35, 6700 Esbjerg
